We Want Your Fruit!
Hi there, We’d love your fruit! We accept almost everything: ALL apples (including crab and ornamental), grapes, cherries, apricots, plums, berries, and more. Last year, we collected over 60,000 pounds! We don’t accept Saskatoons or Rhubarb.
Picking & Delivery:
If you can pick and deliver your fruit, that helps us the most — and we pay for it! We pay the same prices to you that we pay local farmers (annual rates listed below). Payment is made to you by e-transfer 2ish weeks after delivery or in cider when it's ready the spring after harvest.
We do our best to pick fruit ourselves, but with over 500 trees on our list, we can't promise a visit. During our busiest times we make it to about 10% of the trees on our list. We can try to come but we can’t guarantee anything. You might also ask a neighbour or family member for help. Apologies in advance if we do not make it. It is always best to make other arrangements to have your tree picked if possible. If we do pick the fruit ourselves we do not offer to pay.
Not sure when your apple tree is ripe? Look for brown seeds! White seeds mean it still has a ways to go :). The best way to pick apples? Shake the branches over a tarp!
Fruit Drop-Off Details:
Use any containers you like (boxes, buckets and bins are best, garden bags are ok, plastic bags are not ideal for apples, but are fine for berries).
We don’t accept moldy fruit or apples with broken skin. No sticks or leaves. Bruises on apples are fine!
When dropping off, you will need to fill out a short form with your contact info and you will need to wait for staff, who are also tending bar. You may also need to help our staff transfer your fruit into our containers. You will keep your containers. Your help is appreciated!
